By OEF

The Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF) is announcing a new commitment to and focus on the equestrian experience for 2016 and beyond. As part of this evolution we will be moving to enhance the riding experience of all Ontarians regardless of age or skill level. We will deliver relevant and meaningful programs through opportunities that we are planning strategically from the grassroots though to high performance. The OEF will deliver excellence through alignment with the Ontario Government and its GameON Sport Plan, as well as the Canadian Sport for Life Long Term Athlete Development Plan (LTAD), which outlines a rider's development pathway.

This growth will be driven by our recently completed Lead Change Strategic Plan. This wide-ranging and inclusive planning process has brought together a full picture of what is realistic and expected of our organization. Providing development skills and education by drawing on the experience of our members, our affiliations with Equine Canada, Equine Provincial Service Organizations across the country, and our industry professionals, this plan will produce winning results for all who participate.

Following this new vision, we are announcing a streamlined OEF organizational structure as follows:

oef changes, Ontario Equestrian Federation new structure, restructure oef Ontario Government GameON Sport Plan, Canadian Sport for Life Long Term Athlete Development Plan (LTAD)

How is this approach different from the past?

Moving forward, the OEF will focus all resources on rider development and on an increased connection with Equine Canada. Our programming staff will therefore have access to the resources they require to achieve our goals and realize the new vision of the OEF.

The Ontario Equestrian Federation is changing and we look forward to collaborating with our members, partners and stakeholders to implement our exciting new vision in the coming months and years.

Further details on staffing will be made available shortly.
