CADORA Inc. is thrilled to announce that it will once again be hosting two Stephen Clarke clinics this year. The first will be held on September 23-24, at Esther Mortimer and Harper MacKenzie’s M2 Dressage Centre in Millgrove, Ontario; the second on September 30–October 1, at Fairlawn Equestrian Centre in Brentwood Bay, BC, owned and operated by Nicky, Sam, and Vanessa Reid and John Hannam.

The Can-Am Equine All Breeds Expo regrettably announces the postponement of both shows in Ancaster, ON and Chilliwack, BC to spring of 2023.

The 2022 55+ BC Games hosted by Greater Victoria were a huge success with approximately 70 participants for equestrian divisions. It was four jam-packed days of fun and friendly competition, with amazing volunteers to help make it all happen.

Prairieland organizers and the Saskatchewan Equine Expo committee would like to thank their partners, the Saskatchewan Horse Federation, and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as the sponsors, media and volunteers, all of whom helped make the 10th Annual Saskatchewan Equine Expo such a wonderful success.

That’s a wrap on the July 21-24, 2022 British Columbia (BC) Summer Games in Prince George! It was four jam-packed days of competition with athletes from all over the province competing in Dressage, Para-Dressage, Jumping, Vaulting, and for the first time Eventing. Forty-eight athletes representing eight Zones throughout the province made the trip to the Games, working as zone teams with accumulative points from all days of competition.

LIVESTOCK EMERGENCY RESPONSE COURSE 

“Calamity” was hard at work this past month with two Livestock Emergency Response Course (LERC) trainings in Barriere and Lumby. This life-size equine mannequin has travelled with livestock handling expert Jennifer Woods around the province of BC for over five years, helping train emergency protocol involving livestock.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair held in Brandon, Manitoba from March 28 to April 2, 2022 was a welcome event for all the horse community. Cancelled in 2020 and 2021, a flood of entries came in for 2022 with riders out in full force in both hunter and jumper rings. The competition officially started in the Hunter Ring on Saturday, March 25. Although riders were mainly from Manitoba, entries also came from across Canada and the midwest United States. Many old friendships were renewed.
