Two horses were euthanized due to injuries suffered in an indoor arena collapse in Elmvale, Ontario on Sunday, February 28, 2021. The building, located at New Dawn Horizons Stables, suddenly collapsed shortly after three horses were turned loose inside. One of those horses and another in an adjacent paddock suffered serious injuries and had to be euthanized.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by two friends of the family to help rebuild the stable, and and almost $10,000 has been raised as of March 8, 2021

Everyone at Canadian Horse Journal extends sincere condolences to the owners of New Dawn Horizons Stables on this unfortunate incident and for the loss of your beloved horses.
