The affected riding saddles were manufactured with screws that were too short, which may cause the girth of the saddle to detach from the tree of the saddle, posing a fall hazard to the rider. As of March 1, 2019, the company had received no reports of injury in Canada or the United States.

Approximately 70 units of the affected products were sold in Canada, and approximately 1,600 were sold in the United States during the period from August 2016 and December 2018. The saddles were manufactured in India and distributed by Weatherbeeta USA Inc.

The recall was conducted voluntarily by the company under the US Consumer Product Safety Commission – Fast Track Recall process. Fast Track recalls are initiated by firms who commit to work with CPSC to quickly announce the recall and remedy to protect consumers.
