Ottawa, ON, September 16, 2026 — The Board of Directors of Equestrian Canada (EC) is launching a comprehensive search for their next CEO.

The national governing body for equestrian sport and industry in Canada, EC has engaged Korn Ferry, a leading global executive search firm, to help identify and assess an exceptional leader to guide Equestrian Canada into its next chapter.

This is a transformational opportunity to shape the future of equestrian sport in Canada. EC is looking for a bold, visionary and inspirational leader who can build on existing strengths while bringing fresh perspective, energy and ambition to the organization.

The next CEO will work with a broad range of stakeholders to unite and inspire the Canadian equestrian community, accelerate EC’s strategic priorities, strengthen partnerships and position the organization for long-term growth, sustainability and impact. Above all, this leader will help ensure Equestrian Canada is an organization ready to seize new opportunities while continuing to serve as the national voice for equestrian sport, the people and the horses who make it thrive.

In a recent announcement, Secretary of State (Sport) Adam van Koeverden remarked, “Canada’s sport system is at its best when organizations, government and private-sector partners work together around shared goals. Exploring new ways to collaborate will expand access, make better use of resources and give athletes and coaches the support they need to compete across Canada and on the world stage.”

It is with this in mind that Equestrian Canada seeks a visionary Chief Executive Officer capable of masterfully bridging the gap between business leaders and government bodies. The incoming leader, in tandem with the Board, will leverage a powerful network of public and private contacts to attract sustainable investment, optimize resources, and build a modernized, world-class ecosystem for equestrian sport in Canada.

EC will provide updates to members and stakeholders as the CEO search progresses.
