March 13, 2020 - With the health and safety of our community top of mind, the Calgary Stampede has made the decision to postpone the 2020 Chuckwagon Canvas Auction and cancel the 35th annual Aggie Days.

In response to the threat of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and recommendations of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and the Federation Équestre Internationale (FEI) released today, Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) has made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining two weeks of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) following the close of competition on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

When Equine Guelph launched its new Mare & Foal Care Tool, the How To videos received great feedback as tools to prepare owners for the expected and unexpected. The Mare & Foal Care Tool was designed and developed in partnership with PFERA, an equine reproductive biotechnology company, as a resource for horse owners and breeders.

April 3 - 5, 2020 - The Can-Am All Breeds Equine Expo is thrilled to announce its return to the Markham Fairgrounds for the 2020 show. Eastern Canada’s premier equine event will take place April 3-5, 2020, bringing together thousands of horse lovers and industry partners all under one roof for a great weekend for everyone from the seasoned horse person to the weekend rider and everyone in between. The Can-Am Equine Expo 2020 will feature a lineup of international clinicians free with admission, family-fun entertainment and performances, all indoor shopping, and free on-site parking.

Hamilton Police are looking for help in naming their newest Mounted Patrol Unit horse. The five-year-old Percheron-cross is scheduled to begin patrolling the streets in early spring 2020, but not before Hamiltonians help pick its name.
