Canadian Olympian Hawley Bennett-Awad, currently based in Temecula, California, announced on June 6, 2016 that she has acquired the three-star mare Jollybo from upper level rider Justine Dutton.

Jollybo (Jolly), is a 2004 mare sired by Jumbo. After being imported from England, with Dutton in the irons, Jollybo successfully completed six CIC*** competitions and one CCI*** competition.

Justine stated, “I love this mare so much and she has taken me places I never dreamed of. I’m very sad to be selling her, but I couldn’t hope for her to be with a better person than Hawley and I look forward to following their journey.”

Bennett-Awad hopes Jollybo, just 12 years of age, will make the ideal partner to represent her home country of Canada in the years to come.

As a multiple Olympic, World Championship and Pan American Games medalist, Bennett-Awad is thrilled at the chance to ride such a talented mare saying, “I cannot wait to build a partnership with Jolly and see what the future has in store for us. I cannot thank Justine enough for trusting me with this mare’s future and can hardly believe this opportunity is real.”

Bennett-Awad and Jollybo will make their competition debut June 10-11 in the Preliminary Division at The Copper Meadows Horse Trials in Ramona, CA, with hopes of traveling to Rebecca Farm in Montana later this summer to contest their first international event together.

Hawley is proud to offer a few select share opportunities in The Jollybo Syndicate. For more information about this opportunity, please contact Hawley directly via email at hawleybennett@hotmail.com.
