Saskatchewan Quarter Horse Association

The Saskatchewan Quarter Horse Association is a provincial affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association. The SQHA's objectives are to promote and encourage the development and improvement of the Quarter Horse Breed. The SQHA aims to host 3 sanctioned AQHA shows per year. These shows attract competitors from Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and the northern USA. There is a high level of competition at these events with some of the best horses in Canada. The SQHA often hosts fun youth events and social events at our shows to grow camaraderie amongst our members. We host one to two clinics per year, with an emphasis on encouraging youth participation. The last three years we have provided a free Horse Show Demonstration Day to introduce the sport of horse showing to youth or people new to the industry.
