INTRODUCTION TO CANTRA INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION

The objective of the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) certification program is to train Canadian therapeutic riding instructors capable of giving knowledgeable, safe, and enjoyable instruction to riders with disabilities. There are four levels of certification.

Veterinary students at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) are gearing up to host the 2026 edition of Vetavision, the college’s public open house, this fall. The two-day event will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on September 25–26 at the WCVM, which is located on the University of Saskatchewan campus in Saskatoon, SK.

Olympic level learning is hoping to fuel the flames of equestrians at a unique event in Calgary, Alberta. The Equestrian Symposium held by the Canadian Eventing Development Foundation (CEDF) will take place August 27-30, 2026, offering equestrians the opportunity to learn from Olympians and international-level riders both on and off horseback. Giving equestrians, especially youth, access to international-level instruction is key to their future growth and development in the sport.
