People outside of the horse world are finally catching up with what we equestrians have known all along – the therapeutic benefits gained from working with horses. 

Calgary, Alberta-based Equine Connection – The Academy of Equine Assisted Learning Inc. is an organization that has helped corporate teams, women, and at-risk youth to find new life skills through horses since 2009. “There’s not one human being who’s entered these doors who hasn’t had some kind of a change," said founder Kari Fulmek. "And it’s because we allow the horses to be teachers, versus us human beings teaching the process."
