The Capital City Classic, our 42nd annual Equestrian Canada Gold and Bronze competition, will be held on July 21-22, 2018 at the Saanich Fairgrounds, Victoria, BC. The Capital City Classic is hosted by the members of Victoria Saanich CADORA.

We are pleased to introduce our judges this year:

  • Birgit Valkenborg from Hudson, PQ, an Equestrian Canada Senior Dressage judge as well as an FEI 3* Para Dressage judge;
  • We welcome back Doreen Horsey from West Foothills, Alberta, also an Equestrian Canada Senior Dressage judge, as well as being accredited for Western Dressage with both WSDAC and WDAA.

Our steward is once again Jane James from Salt Spring Island, BC, an Equestrian Canada Senior Dressage steward and an FEI Para Equestrian steward.

The Capital City Classic offers all Equestrian Canada dressage tests from Walk/Trot, Training through Fourth Level, and all FEI tests including those for Children, Ponies, Junior, Young Riders, Young Horses, as well as Para Equestrian. Western dressage is also offered in the Bronze competition. Our ever-popular Musical Freestyles will be held on Saturday late afternoon along with refreshments under the “Prancing with the Stars” tent on the berm. For shoppers, we also offer a comprehensive Silent Auction on Saturday.

Whether you are already a dressage enthusiast or simply want to learn more about dressage, you will be warmly welcomed at the competition. There is no admission charge. If you would like to be more involved, do consider volunteering or perhaps become a class or championship sponsor.

Please watch the Victoria-Saanich CADORA website or Facebook page for updates and entry opening and closing dates
