The Canadian National Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show returns to Brandon, MB, August 14 to 20, 2016 at the Keystone Centre. The show will offer the Total Arabian Interaction and Learning (T.A.I.L) program for newcomers to learn more about the horses exhibiting at the event.
The T.A.I.L program offered at the 2016 Canadian Nationals gives adults and children of all ages the opportunity to learn more about the Arabian breed from educated volunteers. The tour will aim to encourage people to enjoy the breed and create a welcoming experience at the show.
By participating in the T.A.I.L. Program, visitors will first be greeted with a friendly T.A.I.L. guide. Then, participants will receive a “T.A.I.L. bag” filled with information about the program and Arabian horses. The bags will also include colouring pages, parts-of-the-horse sheets, and various other educational materials. Everyone will have a chance to watch the show, see behind the scenes action at friendly barns, and even get to meet a real Arabian horse or two. Plus, participants are welcome to walk through a historical mini exhibit of the history of the Arabian horse and the Canadian Nationals!
Tours at Canadian Nationals will be available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 18 to 20. Tour times will be as follows:
- Thursday, August 18 at 6 pm
- Friday, August 19 at 10 am, 2 pm, and 6 pm
- Saturday, August 20 at 10 am, and 2 pm
T.A.I.L. is designed to introduce newcomers to the Arabian horse in a comfortable, backstage setting. Brandon families, youth groups, 4-H and FFA groups, Girl/Boy Scouts, and day campers are welcome to contact the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) to make a reservation for a T.A.I.L tour at the 2016 Canadian Nationals.
