Thirty-six elite equine athletes arrived in Whitehorse, Yukon, on August 9, 2017, as part of an RCMP Musical Ride national tour marking 150 years since confederation. The host committee of local organizers and volunteers in Whitehorse has been busy preparing the Takhini Arena by converting it into a makeshift barn to house the horses. Performances are scheduled for August 12 and 13, and the Takhini Arena will be open to visitors daily from August 10 to 13.
