A Horse of a Different Colour

BC, Wildfires, horse riding, all about that horse, horse stories, horse news, fun horse stories, interesting horse news, trending horse industry news

While wildfires rage around the province the mother-of-five thought British Columbians could use a good laugh. Cindy Roddick lives in Likely, BC about 100 kilometers northeast of Williams Lake. While preparing for possible evacuation, Roddick asked her 15-year-old son to spray-paint her phone number on the family's two horses in case they had to release them. There had obviously been some sort of miscommunication as Rosy, the 19-year old mare ended up bright pink, covered with a layer of non-toxic spray paint.

Luckily the family did not have to evacuate from their property thanks to the hard work of crews. And the photo of a pink and brown pinto circulating its way through social media hopefully brought a smile to the face of those affected by the wildfires.
