HOLIDAYS ON HORSEBACK
BIGHORN HORSEBACK ADVENTURES - Become a Mountain Explorer

“What a day,” laughs Patrick, holding a cup of hot chocolate in his hands. “Yes, was fuer ein Tag,” agrees Linda from Germany, who smiles remembering the herd of wild horses they passed on their ride today.
The trail through the Rocky Mountains lead them high up Forty Mile Ridge where they spotted a group of elk grazing the high meadows and black bear tracks on their way back to the Bighorn Horseback Adventure camp. The air around the crackling campfire is filled with the smell of roasting marshmallows. Every night there are new stories to share before curling up in the sleeping bag. The next morning the smell of coffee and bacon wakes everybody up and, while listening to the munching of the horses enjoying their morning hay, riders get ready for a new day filled with adventure.
There is something soul-refreshing about riding the mountain range. Some guests say it’s the awe that comes over them when they are surrounded by wilderness, while others are simply amazed by the silence. “When riding surrounded by nothing but nature it is so easy to let go of everyday life,” Pat explains while stroking Ribbon’s mane. “You live in the moment and time becomes meaningless.”
At least once in a lifetime every person should experience the activity, fun, and adventure waiting for them on a backcountry adventure. Bighorn Horseback Adventures can make it happen!
Explore the mountains on a one week mountain camp trip, or a shorter, two night getaway. Bed and Bale is also available.
