EXCITING HAPPENINGS AT VRDA
— Contributed
The Victoria Riding for the Disabled Association (VRDA) has moved to a new location at 6917 Veyaness Road in Victoria, BC. The VRDA has exclusive use of this property for the next 50 years, allowing them to expand their therapeutic riding program to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Despite ongoing renovations, classes started without a hitch on October 19th.
The barn has extra stalls for more horses, which are needed. As well, there will be an office, a large viewing area, and a new home for special equipment. Come view the new facility and consider volunteering as a horse handler or sidewalker.
The VRDA hosted their third annual Dinner and Live & Silent Auction on November 19 in Oak Bay, with a variety of auction items.
