Pickering Town Centre is reaching out to commuters to help the Humane Sociey of Durham Region rebuild

In an effort to raise awareness, and help rebuild the Humane Society of Durham Region animal shelter, Pickering Town Centre will be showing its support by reaching out to GO Transit commuters with information on Raise The Woof!-a five day fundraising and pet adoption event taking place, at the mall, during March Break.

 

WHAT:
Pickering Town Centre representatives will be handing out information on Raise The Woof! complimentary keepsakes, plus a schedule of free March Break family activities. A spokesperson will be available to answer questions about the fundraising campaign and in-mall activities.

WHY:
The Humane Society of Durham Region lost its facility and over 100 animals to a tragic fire in 2008. Financial support, from the public, is urgently required to construct a new animal shelter. The purpose of the March Break event is to raise community awareness and encourage public participation in Pickering Town Centre’s Raise The Woof! fundraising campaign.

The public and media are invited to attend. Photo and interview opportunities are available.
