a brown dun coat
on which no brand has been wrote
sharp black eyes
scanning the skies at the top of each rise
muscles of cold steel
as the cougar strikes back they reel
tangled long black mane
just more proof that he has not been tame
cold back
on which no one has sat
unshod hooves
never been under a roof
so wild and free he runs
not to be ridden by their sons
a free spirit in a cluttered world
