Fields
of Horses

Alberta, age 10
When horses are in fields they are happy,
When we are in fields with them we are happy,
They prance and jump like they are one of us,
They nicker softly to everyone saying
Let’s run, Let’s run, Let’s run.
Colts chase each other, playful, biting everyone,
Waiting for one of the adults to chase them,
At the end everyone is sleeping because
they are tuckered out and waiting for the future.
