HONOURABLE MENTION

My Pony
By Kennedie Peters-Close, of Aylmer, Ontario

I dream of having a pony,
But I don’t want a phony.
I would want a Shetland,
It would be a petland.

I would call her Maggy,
She would be all shaggy.
We would ride through the mountains,
We would be best friends.

I asked my parents for one,
It would be so much fun.
The mountains are so vast,
She would be so fast.
