I saw them from a distance
The horses that run free,
The horses that are wild,
A feeling took over me.
The feeling was pure joy,
My heart seemed to long
For just a kiss on their muzzle,
Just to sing their own song.
For these horses knew no stables,
Knew no warm, dry hay,
Knew no saddle or bridle,
Knew no other place to stay.
With a series of whinnies
The horses began to part,
That is when I realized
Those horses captured my heart.
