Earlier Lamess Detection with NDI's GaitCheck
A new device, GaitCheck, used to detect early lameness in horses, has been created by NDI.
NDI is one of the leading companies in the world when it comes to developing technology used for medical and research purposes.
GaitCheck allows for lameness detection by analyzing a horse’s movement at the trot and indicating whether or not there is a lameness, however slight. It tracks the horse’s movement at a rate that is five times faster than the human eye can see, and thus can pick up on lameness before it can be detected by your trainer, vet, or yourself. GaitCheck can also distinguish between potential lameness in the front and hind legs, and can be used to monitor a horse’s recovery from an injury.
