Eco Nets - Save Hay, Save Time, Save Money

 -Contributed

EcoNets were developed as a means of offering horses the opportunity to eat their hay over a longer period of time, satisfying their chewing requirements but significantly reducing the amount of hay they consume.

As the horses can only pull small amounts of hay from the holes in the net, the chewing motion is increased while consumption is reduced. Econets force the horses to slow their eating down and make the hay last longer, so the horses are able to graze on a more continuous basis without overeating. This is ideal for horses with metabolic or digestive disorders, or for overweight horses.

Econets offer a more natural way of feeding than standard haynets or hayracks, as they allow the horse to eat from the ground with their heads down, a more natural grazing position.

Econets come in a variety of sizes and shapes, including round bale, square, half bale, two flake, Cordura Trailer, and Boxstall nets.
